also, if you do a bad at, you lose so few rating due to your low rank, it's just like playing ladder, except if you win you get 10x ladder reward.

Saying that people who can't keep above r1k doesn't deserve to get rewards is bs. If a guild has only gvged for two weeks they can still easily have problems with other guilds in that area of the ladder. Try actually playing with people at this rank before you come with these statements.

Reward Points exist to REWARD guilds for winning, if you don't win, you shouldn't be rewarded for it.

I don't mean to sound elitist but any competitive game/sport works this way.

Anyone that's serious about GvG should have little trouble getting top 1000.

Except that the reward we are discussing isn't for winning, but for playing. Making your point invalid. If people were asking for points for losing too, you would have a point. Nobody is tho, they just want all guilds to get the same reward for showing up. The AFK guilds were the problem and this 'fix' only works around them.

My point is that you shouldn't be rewarded for just showing up, those rewards were the reason people made afk guilds to begin with.

And I agree completely with that. Those rewards should have never been included in the first place. But as always, Anet rather changes around a bad thing instead of just removing it again. Giving rewards to the top 1000 for showing up, but not for the rest is just stupid.

So basically what you are saying is that you want to be rewarded showing up to a tournament and being terrible?

How about actually trying to become better at the game instead of being lazy and expecting something for it?

Well, the top 1k are getting rewards for just showing up. If they keep that for one set of players they should keep it for all. Anet obviously want to keep the showing up rewards (by doing this stupid update and not removing them completely), so at least my suggestion drastically reduced the reward for the lower ranked guilds by moving them to a B division (It would also automatically stop afk guilds trying to disrupt or extend the time of the A division too).

Seems that some people want to keep the showing up rewards for the "leet" but guess what? you showing up for 5 rounds deserves no more reward than anyone else.

People should just stop being lazy and play seriously for a few matches in an AT. They'd get on the ladder. Problem solved. The fix got rid of the afk guilds at the expense of the lower guilds that actually play ATs. No offense, but getting rid of the dozens of afk guilds is more important than catering to the couple guilds off-ladder that do ATs. It sucks but it solved the problem.
